MATERIALS & PRIVACY

Your text.
Your publication choices.

Submission and storage

We store original files, extracted reading text, their order and addresses, source hashes, core/resource roles, selected controls, publication decisions, and your account ID and email. Submission creates a private corpus; it does not rewrite your manuscript or send it to an AI model. Originals and version history have no automatic expiry.

Who can access the material

You and the Bounded Editions owner can open private drafts and their originals. Authorized platform operators may access data to operate the service. When you publish, the core text and its original files become public. Supporting resources follow the access you chose: full access, cited excerpts, or attributed summaries. Excerpts and summaries can disclose information even when the original resource cannot be downloaded.

Reader questions

AI features are optional. When a reader uses one, the application sends their question, permitted source passages and relevant controls to OpenAI. It performs software checks and automated review before releasing an answer. API requests use store:false; provider retention policies still apply. This is not a promise of zero retention.

The application stores answer-check metadata: edition and settings versions, permitted and cited addresses, outcome, attempt count and time. It does not save the question or answer prose. Daily usage counters limit requests. IACAPAP also permits limited guest questions, using a daily keyed hash of the network address where available; the application does not retain the raw address. The shared site allowance also applies. Conversation output remains in the current browser page and disappears on reload.

IACAPAP web research

The Text mode does not search the web. The Text + Beyond and Open Questions modes send the question and relevant context to OpenAI for live research; search queries may be shared with search providers. Keep identifying patient details out of questions. Research notes are AI-generated summaries, and newly found web sources are not editor-reviewed. Sources approved by editors are labeled separately. Check records retain cited source URLs and retrieval dates, not question, answer, or research-note prose.

Publication and changes

The author chooses when to publish. Changing controls creates a new version and returns a public edition to a private draft until it is published again. Replacing the corpus creates a separate submission. Withdrawing an edition disables public access on this website; it cannot recall copies already obtained.

Retention and deletion

Originals, versions, check metadata and usage records have no automatic expiry in this test release. Contact your Bounded Editions editor to request deletion, with the edition reference. Earlier submission receipts and their original permissions remain available.

Before uploading

Upload only materials you are authorized to provide and share under the selected settings. Do not submit credentials, identifiable patient information or third-party confidential information. Source-preservation checks and automated answer review are not independent scholarly or clinical validation.
